Kate Osann is an American cartoonist and creator of the comic strip Tizzy . Born in St. Louis, Osann grew up in New York City and was a graduate of Hunter College. She spent the early part of her career doing ads and illustrations for popular magazines like Collier's Weekly and the Saturday Evening Post .
